El Sapo Perezoso | Droylsden Tapas Review
El Sapo Perezoso, also known locally as the Droylsden Tapas or to give the English meaning of The Lazy Toad has been established in Droylsden, Manchester for over 10 years.
The Droylsden Tapas.
Both El Sapo Perezoso Tapas Bar and Restaurant and the Lazy Toad public house have been a feature and part of the Droylsden landscape for many years and developed a well deserved reputation for a friendly atmosphere, great food and drinks at sensible prices.
Until recently El Sapo Perezoso (Droylsden Tapas) was prominent on Market Street Droylsden with it’s distinctive Spanish facade and interior.
Following the closure of the Market Street premises for resale by the owners in 2019, the decision was made to relocate the restaurant to within the Lazy Toad Public House just to the rear of the old restaurant on Ashton Hill Lane offering the same great food, service and value for money, and as ever a favourite on Trip Adviser.
Driven by the desire of Alan, Suzanne and the team, El Sapo Perezoso was relaunched within the Lazy Toad Pub.
Stripping out many of the features of the old restaurant and refurbishing and refitting into the new restaurant they have recreated the authenticity of a Spanish Tapas but with it’s own cozy and relaxed interior. In addition it has it’s own entrance separate from the Lazy Toad pub and also an outdoor dining area to give that extra Spanish feel of eating Al-Fresco when the weather permits!
El Sapo Perezoso is also a great place for a summer get together with friends and family to enjoy a bottle of wine, a jug of Sangria and some simple lunchtime Spanish Tapas.
After your meal you can stay and enjoy the Spanish experience with drinks served at your table, or make your way through the adjoining door into the Lazy Toad pub and enjoy it’s acclaimed friendly atmosphere and selection of ales and wines.
The Covid-19 Pandemic
Shortly after opening and like all other establishments the restaurant and pub were required to close due to the pandemic.
However, undeterred and determined to bring the amazing food and experience of Spain to their Droylsden clientele during the lock-down, owners Alan, Suzanne and her staff rallied together to provide a take away and delivery service offering not only the full Tapas menu, but also introducing a freshly made Pizza Menu, Burger Menu, Breakfast menu and other gorgeous food.
Customers can order, pay over the phone and collect at an allotted time, or a professional delivery service is offered observing all the Government guidelines on social distancing.
At Local Trade Link we definitely look forward to the reopening of El Sapo Perezoso and once again enjoying their hospitality and zest for a taste of Spain.
